The reducer is an important component of automatic paper tube equipment, which is widely used and consumes a lot of energy. If a malfunctioning reducer is not repaired in time, it will seriously affect production and damage the reducer. It is also uneconomical not to repair it. Reducers used in paper tube machinery equipment often malfunction after a period of use. The maintenance of gears in paper tube machinery equipment is as follows:
1. Gear damage form: tooth fracture. This is primarily caused by impact and heavy loads due to improper operation. Small cracks caused by material quenching and fatigue, and their gradual expansion, are also reasons for tooth fracture;
Poor tooth surface contact: When the tooth surfaces fail to achieve the specified good contact along the tooth length and tooth height during meshing, it can accelerate local wear of the tooth surfaces or cause accidental damage. The reasons for this are poor meshing core distance between two gears or poor parallelism of the two axes, as well as large manufacturing errors in the gears of paper tube machinery equipment;
Tooth surface wear: Firstly, it refers to the long-term normal wear exceeding a certain limit. Secondly, it refers to the damage caused by abnormal wear, including adhesive wear, abrasive wear, and corrosive wear. The reasons are that the tooth hardness does not meet the requirements, the load is too large, and the lubricating oil does not meet the requirements;
Corrosion on tooth surface: fatigue of corrosion material on tooth surface, rough tooth surface, unclear lubricating oil;
Plastic deformation of tooth surface: Uneven hardness leads to soft surface deformation, resulting in an uneven tooth surface or causing the tooth shape to be skewed.
2. Gear maintenance method:
How to handle various damages caused by gears in use depends on the specific situation.
The commonly used methods are as follows:
Most gears of the kraft paper tube making machine are damaged and will not be repaired in the future, but certain standards will be controlled. If the standards are exceeded, new gears will be replaced. For gears that do not exceed the scrap standards, burrs on the tooth surface can be removed with a scraper or oilstone, and new lubricating oil can be replaced to slow down the operation. The replacement standards are determined according to the technical standards for the use of reducers. Damaged small gears should be replaced, and pairs of helical gears with peripheral speeds exceeding 8 m/s and wear should be replaced.
For large templates, large gears should be replaced and assembled. For local tooth breakage of large template gears, gas welding and build-up welding can be used, followed by tempering to process accurate tooth profiles. After wear, the large gear can be repaired effectively using the modification method. During repair, a high modification is adopted, where a layer is removed from the outer circumference of the large gear, and then a new tooth profile is re-processed.
If the gear teeth of automatic paper tube production line are damaged, other repair methods can only be a temporary solution except for the modification method. Special observation should be made in the first few days of use. Spare parts should be prepared as soon as possible, and replacement should be prepared.
