Speed control of rolling equipment of the paper tube making machine

The rolling speed of automatic paper tube equipment is a core parameter that affects production efficiency and paper tube quality. It refers to the length of paper tube formed per unit time, usually measured in meters per minute. Reasonable control of the winding speed should be combined with the characteristics of the raw paper, the specifications of the paper tube, and the performance of the equipment, in order to achieve efficient production while ensuring the strength and roundness of the paper tube.

There are three key factors to consider in controlling the speed of pipe rolling.

One is the adaptability of the base paper, with significant differences in speed sensitivity among different weights and thicknesses of base paper. Thin paper (30-50g/㎡) has a soft texture, and high-speed winding can easily cause wrinkles. The speed should be controlled at 30-60 meters/minute; Thick cardboard (150-300g/㎡) has strong rigidity and can be raised to 80-120 meters/minute, but the winding tension needs to be increased synchronously to prevent interlayer sliding.

The second is the diameter and wall thickness of the paper tube. Small diameter paper tubes (diameter 10-50mm) have limited heat dissipation space in the mold, and excessive speed can easily cause the glue to form before it dries, resulting in delamination. It is recommended to control it at 40-70 meters per minute; The large-diameter thick wallpaper tube (diameter 200-500mm) can be used at a speed of 60-100 meters per minute, and the bonding effect is ensured by increasing the amount of glue applied and the drying power.

The third is paper tube making machine stability.The speed of the rolling tube needs to be matched with the glue coating system and cutting system. Insufficient speed of the glue coating roller can lead to uneven glue coating, and delayed response of the flying saw cutting can easily cause fixed length errors. Speed linkage adjustment needs to be achieved through a PLC system.

In practical operation, the speed range needs to be determined through trial production. During the start-up phase, use low speed (20-30 meters/minute) to observe if the raw paper runs smoothly; After stabilizing, gradually increase the speed, and check whether there are bubbles or glue marks on the surface of the paper tube every 10 meters/minute; After reaching the target speed, run continuously for 30 minutes, sample and test the compressive strength and roundness error of the paper tube to ensure that the performance meets the standard. Environmental temperature and humidity can also affect speed control. In high temperature and humidity environments, glue dries slowly, so it is necessary to reduce the speed or increase the drying temperature appropriately.

Tube rolling speed control of the spiral paper tube making machine is a dynamic balancing process in paper tube production, which requires finding a balance point between efficiency and quality. By scientifically setting parameters and regularly calibrating equipment sensors, stable speed control can be achieved, improving the paper tube qualification rate and production efficiency. In daily production, it is necessary to record the speed adaptation data of different batches of raw paper, form a process database, and provide reference for subsequent production.
