It is one of the most challenging industrial wastewaters to treat, containing dyes, sizing agents, auxiliaries, oils, acids and alkalis, fiber impurities, sand-like substances, and inorganic salts. The primary methods for treating dyeing and printing wastewater include physical-chemical methods, biological methods, chemical methods, and a combination of these processes. Pre-treatment in wastewater treatment aims to improve water quality by removing suspended solids and directly settleable impurities, regulating water quality and volume, and reducing water temperature. This enhances the overall effectiveness of wastewater treatment and ensures the stability of the entire system. Therefore, pre-treatment plays a crucial role in the treatment of dyeing and printing wastewater.
Because of the complex water quality of printing and dyeing wastewater, pollutants can be divided into two categories according to their sources: one is from the impurities of the fiber raw materials themselves; the other is from the sizing, oil, dye, chemical additives used in the processing process.
